Not necessarily in distance but in the length of this boring and long stretch of road.
Quite possibly the biggest word ever.
Farm house lunch. Tasty. Many have said that it's the best meal so far.
We've just come off a fantastic boat ride and we're going to lunch.
... And we're watching the Fanwalk video from Day 2.
Thanks to the Google Maps java application on the new W995, I can see that we're only four minutes away from our hostel.
We are merely 50 minutes or so away. It's really handy and easy to find our way, alongside our leader and map-reader. It's so simplistic.
We're getting closer!
The Fanwalkers are making great progress through the forest. We're now discussing the topic of what artists we'd love to meet at the MTV Europe Music Awards. We're having great fun and making great time on our track.
So we're all retiring to our rooms in the Five Star Hotel that we are staying in. See, walking pays off. Night.
We're on the bus, watching German Dance videos. Success.
... That they had never seen cows before.
Sorry, I know it's a bad joke.
A lady came out of her house to say hello. No doubt she wanted to show her support for our quest.
The Fanwalkers are en-route, with lovely views of the River Elbe. We're still going strong, and although many are tired from the late-night partying, spirits are high and all is going well. Berlin, here we Come!
We've left.
The Fanwalkers are leaving soon from Ludenbourg. The general consensus is that the early morning rise is harder than the walking to come today. We'll see if that opinion changes later... I anticipate that it will.
Dublin asked again about the walk. Plus, they slagged us. All good.
The Fanwalkers have arrived and we're at our new accomodation.
We've had an action packed day, with lots of walking and lots of chatting and making friends, but the real trekking adventure starts tomorrow, with a 24km distance which needs to be covered in only a few hours.
But you've just got to love it.
We're painting the town!
Making friends, playing pool, speaking different languages and having a wild time.
First picture and Blog on the Fanwalk. It's Clay, from Ireland, laceing his shoes and preparing for the brisk stroll tomorrow!
This is my house, just 4 u darling
